SLP Graduate Class of 2016

Class of 2016

The torch has been passed! The Class of 2016 successfully completed the first term of graduate school!

Thank you Class of 2015 for all you did for the First Years on their first day. You made them feel welcome and helped calm their nerves. I especially want to acknowledge Dana, Caitlin, Jillian and Brooke,  you ladies were a big help to the CDI faculty and staff!

New Kids in Town

The SLP Graduate Class of 2016 arrived on campus May 27th. It was a tough selection process but we believe we have accepted 28 of the best graduate students from across the country. We accepted many of our own MSU undergrads as well as students from all over the region and as far away as the east coast!

Orientation was overwhelming for the First Years, but just when the members of the Class of 2016 were wondering what they had signed up for, the Second Years (Class of 2015) arrived and saved the day.

The Class of 2015 had created a video of the first year experience from their perspective! This video was a humorous and entertaining take on  graduate school. It was followed by another video from the Second Years in which each student shared a piece of advice for surviving the first year! We are so grateful to the Second Years for their effort in welcoming the First Years as this really contributes to our CDI community. We are so proud to call you our own!

These videos and the shared lunch experience which followed helped take the edge off Orientation and set the First Years up for a successful summer.

Thanks SLP Class of 2015!!

Enjoy the show!
